ITS 2016–2017 INDEPENDENT FILMMAKERS FEATURE SERIES.
Art New England magazine is now accepting submissions for Frame to Fame II, the second edition of its series chronicling regional independent filmmakers as they navigate the film festival circuit.
Art New England will follow filmmakers throughout their process beginning with submitting their work (completed in 2015 or 2016) to various independent film festivals. It will then report on the filmmakers’ experiences as they attend festivals over the course of the 2016–2017 season.
Art New England’s film critic Ethan Gilsdorf will conduct interviews with each participant, to be included in a serialized feature over the course of three to four issues of Art New England in print and online. The series concludes with a celebratory showcase in Boston, where trailers for all films will be shown during an opportunity for filmmakers to meet and greet with the public.
Independent filmmakers living and working in the New England area are encouraged to apply.
All filmmakers interested in being a part of this unique and exciting project are asked to electronically submit a completed entry form (see link to the form with instructions) by Friday, April 1, 2016. Final decisions will be made by Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
